Wikipedia is a free-for-all online encyclopaedia which is available to the public. Anyone can access the articles that have been written on the website, and anyone can edit these articles if they find discrepancies. These changes are then sent to Wikipedia, which checks the relevance, and if the changes are both relevant and follow the set of rules provided by Wikipedia, they get published.
The people who contribute to this ever-growing online encyclopaedia are called Wikipedians and, unfortunately, do not get paid by Wikipedia. Almost all Wikipedians are volunteers, and they aren’t approached by Wikipedia to do anything.
