From Code to Climb: The IT Department Conquers Lohagad Fort!

SHARE :

Overview

You think our IT department just sits around debugging code and drinking endless cups of chai?

Well, you’re half right (they are powered by chai). But this isn't your average tech department. This is Hats-Off Digital. And when our team decides to "step away from the screen," they really mean it.

On November 15th, 16 of our tech wizards swapped their keyboards for trekking shoes. Their mission: A full-blown trek to the historic Lohagad Fort.

The Journey (And the 'Oops' Moment)

The day started with, shall we say, a classic "plot twist." The plan was set, the alarms were (mostly) snoozed, and the team gathered for the early morning train.

And... they missed it.

Yes, you read that right. Sixteen of the most meticulous, detail-oriented people in our company. Missed. The. Train.

But is a minor inconvenience like a runaway train going to stop the team? Absolutely not. This is what we do we find solutions (and the next available train).

With spirits still high and the real adventure officially underway, the team boarded the next train and finally reached the location. The trek began.

This wasn't about deadlines, Jira tickets, or server maintenance. This was about fresh air, stunning mountain views, and the unfiltered fun of climbing together. It was a day of laughter, shared stories, and that incredible feeling of reaching the top, surrounded by nature and teammates.

Voices from the Peak

We asked some of our trekkers what the best part of the day was. Here’s what they had to say:

For me, the most valuable part of the trek is the opportunity to bond with the office team outside of the work environment. By removing ourselves from the chaos of the office and immersing ourselves in nature the mountains, we not only strengthen our relationships but also find we can resolve many challenging problems.

Reaching to the final viewpoint after all the efforts and fun

The best part was seeing how we solved problems as a team. We literally missed our train, and instead of getting angry or complaining, we just joked around and blamed the last couple of people :P. Right after that we figured out how to catch the superfast train with our local tickets. That positive attitude from everyone is what made the journey so great.

- Murtaza Dohadwala

It was a great experience traveling with the team using local transport. We trekked together, helping each other along the way. I enjoyed a lot, and there was mutual respect throughout. Overall, it was a great experience.

- Prashant Mhetre

The best part of the trek was spending time with the group and enjoying every moment together. The challenging sections made it exciting, and completing them was the most rewarding part.

- Sakshi Tambe

The trek was a surreal experience from moments of wanting to stop to finally reaching the edge of the fort, it taught us that with determination, even the toughest challenges become incredibly rewarding.

- Kinana Dohadwala

We'd tell you more, but we all know a picture is worth a thousand lines of code.
